Our baby Rays had to sit on ice Saturday after two delays (rain) and a final declaration that all Saturday games would be cancelled. 

Sunday morning they came to play beating a very solid Ohio Wave team 5-0.  After earning the #1 seed in pool play, Stingrays 10u again defeated Ohio Wave 7-4 in the semi-final before defeating the Ohio Hawks 5-2 in their second championship match-up of the season.

After this weekend our girls will get a well-deserved three week break from tournaments and friendlies to lick some wounds and recharge their batteries.  Great job ladies! 

Stingrays braved the cold and light snow in Youngstown/Warren on Saturday going 3-0 in pool play.  Sunday was much warmer and our bats heated up as well.  Unfortunately, an injury and multiple illnesses caught up to our kids as they fell 11-6 in a well played championship game vs.  Ice Silver.  We look forward to more battles with this Ice team throughout the season.  Next stop, Beavercreek!

It was a rare treat for the month of March to be able to play an outdoor tournament in Hamilton OH.  Stingrays went 6-0 this weekend defeating the Hawks 8-0 in the championship game.  Rays batted .477 and homered three times for the weekend scoring 74 runs while allowing 5.  Great effort this weekend ladies!

The Stingrays 10u is off to a great start to 2012 having just won the Spano Dome championship beating out 18 other teams.  With a 7-0 record we outscored opposing teams 49-1 (yes that was only one run allowed through 7 games) including convincing wins over three of the top teams in the state.  This was an NSA Qualifier and qualified our girls for the NSA World Series in Spartanburg, South Carolina this summer.

Great effort ladies!  We are all looking forward to getting outside soon!

Ohio Stingrays 01 went undefeated as champions in the SportZone indoor New Year's tournament in Indianapolis this weekend.  Great job girls!  With this they have earned a berth to the ASA Northern Nationals in 2012

Yesterday we wrapped up the fall season as Runner-Up at the Diamond Chix Great Pumpkin Smash tournament.  We finished the fall season with a 10-2-2 record and will continue working through the winter.  Our next tournament is at the SportZone in Indianapolis over New Year's weekend. 

Our young ladies had a great weekend of softball as Runner Up in the 10u division.  For the weekend we were 3-1-1 with our only loss in the championship game 3-2 against a very fundamentally sound Marion Diamonds team.  This was a very good experience for the girls and we are all very proud of the way they battled.

Friday night's tryout was highly successful.  Big thanks to Coach Bill Skerbetz for all his help!

We are returning one player from last year's 10u team as all the other players aged up.  Therefore we are seeking to fill every position at this year's tryouts.

This team is geared for the player who considers softball their favorite sport.  If your daughter sleeps with her bat and glove you need to check us out.

Our plan is to play two fall tournaments, one indoor tournament with workouts through the winter, 8-10 spring / summer tournaments and to travel out of state for nationals.  We look forward to seeing you at tryouts!
